IE being worked on again
(Yes, this is pretty much the same reaction that Gervase Markham had to the news that he broke.)
So IE is going to be worked on again. Is this good or bad? On the one hand, I don’t particularly want IE to succeed. Groups like Mozilla have put forth so much effort in delivering a quality product and I’m pretty much sold on Firefox as my full-time browser.
On the other hand, if IE does a good job and gets more people to be “standards compliant” (CSS, XHTML, DOM, PNG, etc.) this will make web-developers jobs all over the world much easier. That’s a Good Thing. Then we can stop wasting time testing different browsers and instead do what the Internet needs: write some good content.
