Why blog?
Obviously I’m not very good at this whole blogging thing yet. And really, why should anyone bother to blog at all? (I’m sure this discussion is old news on the Internet by now.) I mean, are my ideas so important that the whole world should read them?
In other words: are all blogs just rants? Some of them are. And they’re supposed to be, and people are more informed because intelligent people are ranting about the right things.
But this site isn’t meant to be a rant. Nor is it meant for the whole world. In fact, if anything, it’s really only meant for me. Things happen in my day. I don’t always pay attention to those things until too late. I want to start to keep track of them. Since I’m terrible with journaling, maybe something a little more technical will help me out.
This site, if nothing else, is going to be a discipline for me. A discipline that will teach me to tell stories. Because I love stories. And I love telling them. I’m just not so good at telling my own.
